Best of Philly Best Movie Night winner, Cinema 16:9 is hosting a major public dance event inspired by the innovative feature film, Girl Walk // All Day.
The evening will begin at 5:00PM with a free public dance/walk originating at the Lansdowne Train Station and will weave its way to the parking lot at the Historic Lansdowne Theater.
The director and producer of Girl Walk // All Day will be down from New York to meet fans of dance and film. The film will screen simultaneously in Cinema 16:9′s three theaters, The Fox, The Phoenix and The Lynx at 6PM, 8PM, & 10PM.
Between Showtimes, the public can take part in dance classes, watch local dance troupes perform, and meet the Director and Producer.
The night will close with Cinema 16:9 converting to an after hours dance club until 2AM, featuring two separate dance areas and DJs.
Tickets are $12 and are an all access pass that allows you to freely dance between theaters, watch the film, drop in on classes and discussions, and stay for the after hours dance.
Itinerary:
5:00 – 6:00: Dance walk from the Lansdowne train station to theater
6:00 – 7:15: Showtime #1
7:15 – 8:00: Dance classes
8:00 – 9:15: Showtime #2
9:15 – 10:00: performers, dancers, etc. upstairs & down.
10:00 – 11:15: Showtime #3
11:15 – on: after hours DJs:: Inspector Peugeot and Nex Millen, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs.
